Now that we have warned you of spoilers for the film it is crucial to know that Donald Glover is confirmed to be playing Aaron Davis in the coming film, otherwise known as The Prowler. Prowler in the comics is essential in Miles Morales’ origin and is also Miles’ uncle. Due to the inclusion of Prowler in the Spider-Man film, naturally many wondered whether or not Miles is in the MCU at all or if the inclusion of Prowler is merely an Easter egg for fans to notice.
In a recent interview with Screen Crush, Kevin Feige confirms Miles Morales’ existence in the MCU. Kevin feige states, “I think Miles is a big part of the animated movie that Sony’s making. But where we go … we definitely want you to go. He’s there. He’s there somewhere.” With Feige’s statement it can be safe to assume that the inclusion of Miles in the MCU will be far from now, but is definitely an option which can easily make the MCU remain new and fresh with constant change of characters.
With Miles being confirmed in the MCU, it can create much excitement for what’s to come. Miles being included in the MCU creates more opportunities for the MCU to remain relevant and not fall victim to a cast which doesn’t change throughout time.
