FUNKO Pop’s First Look At Another Thor: Ragnarok Villain (SPOILERS)

After the incredible trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel fans have been hungry for more. Now with San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner, expectations to see more details in the Marvel panel are high. Luckily, fans don’t have to wait too much.

SPOILERS FOR THOR: RAGNAROK

Popular collectible toy company FUNKO Pop just announced their new lineup for the upcoming Marvel film. In their blog, they show many familiar faces such as Thor, Loki, Heimdall, Bruce Banner and Hela. But there’s also a HUGE surprise for Thor fans to add to their collection: Surtur!

Last year’s Comic-Con attendees got to see an early test footage of the movie, including a fight between Hulk and Surtur himself. With FUNKO’s blog, fans now have an early look at the character.

Surtur is a fan favorite Thor villain from the comics. He is described as one of “The Ten Most Heinous Enemies of the Mighty Thor.” The character plays an important role in the Ragnarok comic book storyline, where he helps with the destruction of Asgard, Thor’s home world.

Even though he was confirmed last year, this still brings excitement for fans and curiosity as to what role he will play in the movie. Could Loki be the one who frees him like in the comics? Will he help Hella with the destruction of Asgard? Will The Hulk and Thor team up to defeat him? Fans will have to wait for the film to release.

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok will be in theaters on November 3, 2017
